Our charity is dedicated to training teachers who are passionate, confident, and knowledgeable, able to make the best decisions for the children in their care. We strive to create a nurturing and supportive environment where you can develop into an excellent teacher capable of changing lives. Children and young people remain at the heart of all our endeavours, and our graduates are equipped to make a significant impact on the education of pupils in our schools.
Our Partnership
Essex & Thames Education’s excellent training is supported by a large partnership of more than 100 NURSERIES, PRIMARY AND SPECIAL SCHOOLS and our PGCE is accredited by Anglia Ruskin University. Due to the outstanding reputation we hold locally for the provision of effective training; our trainees are among the first to gain employment each year, usually within partner schools.
Essex and Thames Education is more than just a school-based primary teacher training provider; we pride ourselves on offering excellent support for new teachers and those looking to change careers. Joining our “Education Family,” ensures you’ll be provided with excellent support throughout your training and beyond.
Our Activities
We run teacher training courses, offering a range of different routes into teaching
One year fee paying and salaried, part-time and full-time courses with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education;

- Primary (5-11 years)
- Primary (5-11 years) specialising in Mathematics
- Primary (5-11 years) specialising in Special Educational Needs & Disability
- Primary (5-11 years) specialising in Behaviour
- Primary (5-11 years) specialising in Physical Education
We offer Assessment Only Routes in primary (age ranges 3-7, 5-11 and 7-11) and all main secondary subjects (age ranges 11-16, 11-19 or 14-19).
